Laura & Bill's Wedding

My how time flies!

Now that wedding season has kicked into high gear, we are full speed ahead and busy every minute. Hence the delay in posting about Laura and Bill's Cinco de Mayo wedding two weekends ago. They celebrated it at the elegant Homewood in Asheville, NC. The plan was to have the ceremony outside in the beautiful glen but the rain put a damper on that. However, Homewood already had a backup plan and the gorgeous dining room was quickly turned into an intimate chapel, complete with lit fireplace and wall to wall candlelight. It looked like that was how they planned it all along.

We were very impressed not only with the look and elegance of Homewood but also the staff. Monroe and his crew were always pleasant and very accommodating. Not to mention they saved the day when Laura's zipper broke on her dress. Monroe was immediately on the phone to have a seamstress come over and fix it. Kudos to the Homewood staff.

Once again, the beauty of having two photographers for
your wedding day. While Emily was shooting Laura's hair
and make-up, I was able to photograph Bill playing with
"the kids" before getting ready.

Laura looking beautiful, and extremely happy
that her dress was fixed.

Fortunately, the rain held off for the most part so we could
still use the caste-like exterior for some great shots.

Laura and Bill making their way to the cocktail tent for a round of
toasts. Bill kicked off the Cinco de Mayo fun with "Let's Party!"

Bill is a multi-talented musician to say the least. He went from
strumming guitars to playing the drums, but he really wowed
the crowd when he pulled out his didgeridoo. The sound was
so cool with the band playing along.

And of course what Cinco de Mayo celebration
would be complete without colorful sombreros!

Laura and Bill,

No doubt you continued your Cinco de Mayo festivities on your honeymoon to Mexico. Your probably back already but we hope you had a great time relaxing in the sun and sipping cervezas. We can't wait to hear all about it! Thank you both for giving us the opportunity to be a part of your wedding day. It was such a great blend of elegance and fun that was truly your own and we had an awesome time.
