Heather & Noel's Wedding at Cliffs of Glassy

Recently we had another wedding at the beautiful Cliffs of Glassy chapel. This time it was an intimate ceremony for Heather and Noel followed by a casual reception at Mary's Cottage in downtown Greenville. Heather and Noel are laid back and easy going themselves so it was the perfect way to celebrate their wedding day. The day was all about close family and friends and a very relaxed pace. There was even a few hours of down time between the ceremony and reception where Heather and Noel just chilled and then met us for some more shots downtown. We could get used to that compared to the rush rush rush of most weddings.

Here are a few of our favorites followed up by a little slideshow.

Heather & Noel,

You are a wonderful couple and your wedding was a breath of fresh air amid this crazy month. Thank you for giving us time to create and have fun with you. Your whole wedding day reminded us a lot of our own with just close family and friends and a relaxed pace. We hope you enjoyed yours as much as we did ours.

Amy & Ace's Wedding at the Biltmore

Earlier this month we headed up to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC for Amy and Ace's beautiful wedding. Though we never got to do an engagement shoot with them due to their super busy schedules and living in Atlanta, we photographed their rehearsal dinner so we got to know them and some of their family and friends. They had it at an Asheville Tourists ball game at McCormick Field. Ace even got to throw out the first pitch which was pretty cool!

Amy and Ace are a really nice, laid back couple and their wedding day reflected that. The ceremony was held in the beautiful courtyard at the Deer Park restaurant and the reception was inside. One of the bonuses to having your wedding there is you're allowed to take pictures anywhere on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate! Talk about photo heaven! Everywhere you look is great architecture, pristine landscaping and spectacular vistas. Check out the slideshow at the end and you'll see what we mean.

Cake & Catering: Biltmore
Florist: The Flower Gallery - Luck always does a great job!
Band: Ms. Jones & The Velvetones - Very fun band
Officiant: Reverend Jacqui
Bride's Dress: Bridal Sense - Atlanta, GA

We are so glad that Amy and Ace chose to do a "First Look". When couples first see each other without everyone else around, they don't hold back their smiles, laughs or even tears. It just makes it more of an intimate moment that you can then share with everyone afterwards through the images. Doing it this way also made sure we had time with them to take advantage of the Biltmore grounds.

This view alone is spectacular but add in a gorgeous bride like Amy and it becomes breathtaking! (Forgive us for not being humble but we dig these shots)

Adding in Ace to make Amy smile just sweetens the deal.

Amy's dad really cut a rug for their father-daughter dance. He got Amy's dress spinning beautifully.

Rachel & Steven's Wedding

This has been one wild and crazy week to say the least. We had three weddings and a rehearsal dinner within in six days. Needless to say we're playing catch up at the moment, hence the lack of recent blogging. Not to mention we are revamping our gallery, updating our prices and products and booking new couples left and right. It sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but we are really excited about everything that's going on. We can't wait to blog about all the weddings and new stuff we're offering. We'll start with Rachel and Steven's wedding.

These two were made for each other and you can see it in everything they do. They are such a fun, caring and genuine couple and we really enjoyed getting to know them. They also happen to be picture fanatics (which we love!) and quite the daredevils. You'll see what we mean in some of the images.

Can you believe Rachel actually hand-made her beautiful lace veil? Quite the crafty craftswoman!

Rachel and her mom shared prayers and tears right before the ceremony. Very touching.

The clock on the wall says it marryin' time!

Steven is a very passionate man, not only when it comes to his beliefs but in all aspects. This was only one of perhaps five or six uncoerced dips throughout the day. Needless to say he is a master at it.

Steven's mom made her famous cheesecake for the wedding cake and we got to sample a piece. It was so delicious we had thoughts of running out the door with whatever was left ;)

As we said, Rachel and Steven are picture fanatics and they were up for more after the reception. Of course we were happy to oblige so we headed downtown for some coffee and exploring.

Remember how we said they were quite the daredevils? Here's the proof. They leaped from rock to rock over Reedy River to get to this uber-cool tree. That may not sound very adventurous but imagine doing it with 10 pounds of wedding dress swishing around you!

After we were done frolicking in the park, we headed back to their awesome hotel, The Greenville Marriott. That place is so cool we could do a whole shoot just in the lobby.

This red wall instantly called to us.

Rachel & Steven,

Congratulations again on your marriage and graduating from BJU. Thank you so much for giving us the time to be creative and capture the immense love you two so obviously share. We hope you are having a great time out west and wish you a safe move up to Illinois.
