Carolyn's Trash the Dress shoot

This post has been a long time coming but we have just been super busy. Sorry for the delay Carolyn :(

Every now and then we get a bride that absolutely loves loves LOVES pictures and wants to take advantage of every opportunity to have her's taken. Carolyn is one such wonderful bride and we are so glad that she is because she's a dream to photograph. She was up for anything for her Trash the Dress shoot and gave us complete creative license (can you hear the angels singing?). The only thing she knew she wanted was to get wet! Oh and do a little stunting reminiscent of her cheerleader days.

Check out the awesomeness that is Carolyn:

Since her hubby Chris was there we thought why not recreate one of their favorite shots from their engagement shoot. It looks like they've been practicing since then, look at that air time!

Just pure buttery awesomeness!

One of our absolute favorites.

Sorry Carolyn but we just had to include this one. The water was a bit chilly but that face is priceless.

Carolyn & Chris,

We have had so much fun with you guys. Thank you a million times for giving us such freedom to create beautiful images for you.

Andrea & Jeremy's Wedding in Charlotte, NC

For the second part of our wedding double-header, we traveled to Charlotte, NC to photograph Andrea and Jeremy's nuptials. They are a wonderful couple that balance each other perfectly. She's a classy, quiet lass and he's a bit more of a card and together they bring out the best in each other. It was great watching them interact and we didn't even have to ask him to get her smiling and laughing.

Thanks to some inside connections, we were able to photograph at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association headquarters for the couple's "First Look" and portraits. The landscaping was beautiful but it was ridiculously hot out so we tried to keep everyone in the shade. Luckily, the replica of Billy Graham's childhood home had a quaint front porch that was perfect!

The wedding itself was at the adorable St. Mary's Chapel and reception at one of their favorite restaurants, Bonterra. It was wonderful to photograph in so many new places and we would love to venture to Charlotte more often.

This was hanging outside Jeremy's parent's house and we totally want one. Don't get us wrong, we love family but come on, that's just too funny!

Now we see where Jeremy gets his sense of humor from. :P

Just beautiful!

Of course we have Jeremy to thank for this wonderful laugh.

Now that is one hot car!

We love how the coordinator is trying to corral everybody but there were still a few pre-ceremony hugs to be had.

A bird's eye view.

This dude could do some serious dancin' and from the look on Andrea's face, she wasn't sure which way she was going.

Danielle & Dawson's Wedding at Cliffs of Glassy

Wow, a lot has happened since we last blogged! We've had several weddings, including a double wedding weekend, an awesome Trash the Dress shoot, one of us has gotten older and we gave our website and blog a fresh new look. Not to mention we are cooking up a bunch of new ideas and promotions that we will be unveiling shortly. What a whirlwind! For now, onto the first of our double-header weekend.

Danielle and Dawson's wedding day was a lot of fun for many reasons.

1) They are an awesome couple! Just check out the post we made for their engagement session and you'll see what we mean.
2) There colors were classic black and white...with a dash of Hot Pink and tiger stripes!
3) The Cliffs of Glassy is always a beautiful place to photograph (except for maybe the few minutes of monsoon and hail storm that day).
4) Danielle clogged in hot pink heels and a wedding dress!
5) One word: KARAOKE!

Even with her hair in rollers she's beautiful!

Of course Dawson didn't look bad either. ;)

The ladies sporting their hot pink heels. Danielle waited until after the ceremony to don hers.

How cool is this?! Hot pink and tiger striped details.

Dawson's first glimpse of his beautiful bride.

After a very touching father-daughter dance, Danielle and her dad busted out some serious moves including the "Chain Saw" and the "Sprinkler" .

Nice air time!

A moody window reflection of their last dance.

OK so after the reception we followed the newlyweds to La Bastide for some more creative, romantical shots. When we pull up there wasn't a single light on and we could barely see the entrance. Turns out the monsoon hail storm knocked out the power and there was no chance of getting it back till morning. Bummed but not deterred, we gathered all the candles in the lobby for some candlelight portraits.

Not bad for total darkness, eh?! (Thank you D3's!)
